I only have my period once every 3 months. During that week, though, we don't really do anything.

My partner and I aren't grossed out by menstrual fluid. My period doesn't stop me from having sex. We just lay down a towel on top of the throe we have on the bed and we're good to go!

Sometimes our rough sex brings on my monthly, so we've gotten used to a little bit of messiness. But not really more than a couple of drops. And it usually only last 1 or 2 heavy days for me, then spots for a couple days so lightly that I sometimes think it's gone before it is. During the day or two of heaviness we stick to anal. During the next day or two sex doesn't cause the slightest mess so we don't care.

I said Other. We simply carry on as normal. My periods last easily a week and often longer. I will NOT go without sex that long and neither will My Man.
It's just some fluid. Not a huge deal. We have running water in our house and can rinse off if it gets messy. Often, it doesn't even get messy.
I see absolutely no reason to "shut down" for a full week. That's, on average, 91 days without sex a year. That's two months without sex a year! Just because of a little endometrial lining, mucous and a some blood being expelled?
Plus, orgasm helps menstrual cramps. So, I see no reason to change anything. We just have sex like we normally do. We put down a red or maroon sheet and towel or a Liberator Throe on our bed and go to the job. Plus, a dil or phallic vibrator in the vagina will help "plug" the expulsion of fluid, so toys make oral sex, anal sex, etc. it even easier. Then you pull the dil out when you want to have PIV. It's just a little fluid. Ain't no thing.
