I'm kind of a weirdo... I don't like music on while I'm having sex. I feel kind of distracted with music on.

Sex without music, for me, feels.. somewhat more empty than if it did have it. Music can help set the emotional and physical mood, it can cover up noises that might embarrass one partner or the other, it can boost confidence and heighten moments...

At times we'll just have random sex and music will be on but I for one would really like to incoperate music with sex more often. For me, with the right playlist, it really sets the mood and can even lead to things you might not have tried before.

I love music, and paying attention to it... so no. I find it too distracting. A former lover once had his iTunes playing randomly during an encounter, and it shuffled to the Transformers theme... talk about having to recompose myself!

During sex I become less aware of the music. Afterwards, I become aware of the music again. To me this helps to solidify how good the sex was because it shows how caught up in the moment I was.

It kind of depends on the song and the point we're at. That can be distracting, especiaally for a complx song that changes tempo, so generally we don't even bother.

Haven't had sex yet, but I sometimes masturbate to music, and well, for me it's up to my tastes, but most of the music I listen to is for a certain mood or makes me feel a certain way. Basically, most of the music I listen to is very rhythmic or atmospheric. That also means listening more to the music itself rather than words. Words can often be distracting.
I can't accomplish that sort of sensuality of music from, say, country or rap, because while they have their own personalities, they just don't strum through me, as so to speak. On the surface they have beats, but they just don't have sounds that really penetrate through the soul for me.
For me, my favorites will always be techno, electronica, fushion, classical, jazz, and most music that is instrumental. I also love foreign music. I also like a variations that sort of combine all of the above together. So, very spacey, atmospheric, and fantastical music. It's my favorite to listen to as well as just listen to during masturbating.

I'm of the mind that different types of music suit different moods. Sometimes things like Iamx are good for slow, sultry sessions, where sometimes things filled with raw power like the song "This Is War" is great if you want to get down and dirty and rough with it. It really depends on the mood.
