Public or Private polls?

Same here, often I won't respond if it's a public poll. Of course it depends on the subject of the poll..

I've skipped over many polls for being public. It has its place, certainly, but it's not always welcome.

For me, this depends greatly on what question is being asked. In some cases, I don't care if my name is public. In other cases, I won't answer unless it's private.

I think It depends on the subject matter of the poll. I will answer both if I like the question.

They're two different tools for two different purposes. Private polls are great for sensitive subjects, where users might be embarrassed by their answers. Public polls are great for less sensitive subjects. I won't answer some public polls because I don't want my answer known on that particular subject!
