When did you dub yourself no longer a virgin?

I know quite a few people including bf and I that dabbled in everything/something else before having vaginal sex. So I am curious with all the sexual activities out there when did you consider yourself having lost your virginity? Do/did you dub each orifice as having a separate virginity?

When talking to a gynecologist, vaginal sex is what counts. Otherwise, I think it's a mix... I think you can tell people that you're not a virgin anymore after you have a sexual encounter that you're happy with. Each opening and activity has it's own first, though, so it's always clearer to discuss which firsts you've had and which one's you're still waiting for.

I think 90% of people consider vaginal sex to be when you lose your virginity. I think it is when you have any intercourse of any kind. Because if you are a gay guy, and have only had anal sex, nobody considers you a virgin. I lost my virginity when I had vaginal sex with a girl when I was 16.

as a rape survivor I didn't count that as losing my virginity, I didn't lose it fully until I met my husband, even then we waited on PIV until 5mths before we married out of respect for his dad's position in the church for absolute birth control lol But then they lied and kicked him out so we said fuck it why wait now.

PIV. Everything else seemed to just be foreplay/play/making out as there was not chance of pregnancy.

As I am a female bodied heterosexual, I considered myself no longer a virgin the first time I had PIV sex. (Penis in vagina.) If I have been a lesbian, I think the definition would have been different.

I didn't count abuse. That isn't sex, that's evil control, power and non-consensual humiliation. It is not sex IMO.

I agree abuse does not count and its sickening that people have to go through that.

My girlfriend fingered me so hard she popped my cherry so I count that as when I lost my V-Card.. It was also my first time having sex

In truth, having any "penetration", oral, vaginal or anal, really, technically, makes you sexually experienced and thus "not a virgin". However, the real "term" meant having the hymen broken and very few woman, with sports and such in this era, have a fully intact hymen. They would "fail the test" as it were, in some countries where doctors still have to issue a "certificate of virginity" to the husband to be!!!

That's why I didn't mention anything about the "traditional" virginity when the hymen is broken because I know from personal experience(falling on a boys bike when I was younger broke mine) that having your hymen intact doesn't equate "virgin"status. I was curious as to what people considered personally as no longer being a virgin. When I was in high school I knew many girls who would perform oral like it was going out of style so they could still remain a "virgin" and others who felt that as soon as they did anything sexual they were no longer a virgin even if they never had PIV.

It's sort of fuzzy for me. I feel like I lost my virginity when I was intensely intimate with a very close friend of mine (female). There wasn't any penetration that I can recall (it was over half of my life ago...), but I didn't feel like a virgin after that.

Virginity is paid way too much attention in society. My wife was a virgin and honestly I wish she had been around with a few men before me. She's the third virgin I had and I can say, it's over rated. For the men, you're going to be the starting bar for her on what's good sex for the rest of her life... a bar that will keep rising each time she gets more experianced leaving you further and further down. My wife and one girlfriend both believed "Losing my virginity is going to change my life." and then the next day were like "That was it? I'm still just the way I was yesterday... except now I'm in the club my friends are in."

If somebody asked me about losing my virginity, I would talk about the first time I had vaginal sex. Virginity isn't important to me though, and the first time my partner and I hooked up and brought each other to orgasm was a much bigger deal to me than the first time we had PIV sex.

I see what you're saying. For me, losing my virginity was a big deal, but not being a virgin wasn't. I didn't feel any fundamental difference in myself the next day.
