I've noticed that ALL (liberal) kids health/puberty books discount these kinds of rumors/myths. I definitely don't believe it, even though I'd heard of it.

I think it goes the opposite way actually... sweating improves your skin, gets rid of debris and bacteria thus reducing acne - so lets all masturbate more and get that glowing skin!

Never heard that in my life though I have heard the one about guys that masturbate a lot having hairy palms or going blind but I don't believe that either.
Your teacher was probably just trying to 'scare you straight' so you wouldn't even think about sex at all.

What a funny teacher! The only way I could see these two being related is if acne prevented you from getting a partner therefore causing you to masturbate more. But that doesn't exactly make sense either.
