Playing the devil's advocate here, against the people who don't like the way this post is, I just wanted to say:

My husband was NOT into anal at all before I convinced him. And it wasn't even really convincing. I basically just told him to relax and let me do it, and now, he loves it. And there have been things that he has done to me that end up the same way. I think that different partners teach you different things sometimes, and as long as there is a trust, it's okay to try and get your partner into something.

Why is it that any time that anyone says anything about having to convince there partner into something you are somehow raping them or something?

My partner has to convince me to let him have anal sex with me... but I do it because he wants me to and it doesn't offen me if he wants to.

Flagging this most seems a little extreme, a man wouldn't let her touch if they wern't okay with it.

I also don't understand the flagging of this thread, or the equating of it with forceful coercion...

I convinced my partner to do it but it was more of answering the questions of "isn't it going to be really gross?" "won't it hurt a lot?". With an ex- it was those same questions and the "Will it make me gay" stigma. I think it is okay to reassure a partner on any questions they have on an act they are unsure of but anything past that borders on coercive sex.
