Pansexual vs Queer vs Omnisexual

I like woman more but I have dated guys who want to be woman and guys who looked just like a woman. It really doesnt matter to me the body its the soul I fall inlove with.

I started out identifying as bisexual then moved on to identifying as pansexual after dating some trans guys. These days I just identify as queer because it covers everything.

I enjoy reading everyone's answers on this, you're all so opinionated! I love it I've learned a lot from the people who posted in this conversation

I identify as pansexual and occasionally use queer in the sense of the umbrella term (I've never identified as just plain queer, nothing else).

Rolling my eyes at anybody who thinks pansexual sounds like it should mean attracted to everything. We all know that homo, hetero, and bisexual are in reference to genders, not "anything like me", "anything not like me" or "two things".

I identify as pansexual within the queer community, but in public as a whole, I identify as queer because I get tired of explaining 'pansexual'

I use "queer" because I feel that it allows room for the changes that occur in my own sexuality and sexual attractions, feel that it is pretty all encompassing, and feel that I can say it without always needing to describe it or give a definition. It has just been easiest for me and it suits.

I've had my own tie-ups with the term pansexual. (I'm attracted to people, not cookingwear!) And as such, I adopted the term omnisexual for a few years. Then when that started feeling incorrect, I identified as queer.

I usually refer to myself as bisexual, although I realize gender is not binary and that queer is probably a better definition. but when I came up the term was Bi and so thats whats stuck

I love the term queer. I should use it more often. I consider myself to be pan sexual but in general I just refer to myself as bisexual other than in circles where I know people know what I'm talking about. I've had some of my more sex-positive and bdsm knowledgeable friends look at me in confusion when I toss the term pan sexual out there.

I'll say pansexual if someone presses me about what genders I'm attracted to, but I like queer much better as an identity. Sometimes I'll say that I'm just sexual.

I would say it's just a label, why bother making it a big deal.

I like queer because it lets people know I'm not straight but also holds a lot of information about my sexuality back. If they want to know more they'll have to talk to me and get to know me.

I like queer because, regardless of how your identity changes, you can still call yourself queer. It's easiest.

I prefer queer because it's the broadest term and gives you more flexibility

I'm going to be honest... I think that the hangup the GLBTQ community has with "terminology" is getting totally ridiculous. I've never heard of some of the terms I've heard used in the thread--the worst part is that I've seen people who get OFFENDED if you don't refer to them "properly" as supercalifraglisticsex ual. ( Okay, I made that up, but you get the idea, right? ) Maybe not everyone who has posted here is like that, but MANY people are...

Even more complicated is the fact that most non-GLBTQ people do not keep up with the daily changing terminology. If I tell the average person that I'm pansexual, they ask--"Panwhat?" I've reverted to merely telling people that I'm bisexual because most people get it. To the average, on the street parent or friend, "bisexual" covers all your bases.

In the end, I am capable of loving anyone. I am physically attracted to bodies, physically attracted to minds, and physically attracted to spirits. My attraction to someone can consist of all or none of these things. I like penises and vaginas and boobs and strap-ons and butts and a number of other body parts. Heck, I can even love you if you think you should have been born a cat and meow sporadically. I don't feel like I need to make up a special name to describe myself (although I do rather like supercalifraglisticsex ual. I mean, come on, that should cover most bases, right?). In the end, the best way to find out if I'm interested in you is to ask.

I'm completely pansexual. I don't see gender what so ever. You know that thought process that goes through your mind when you see a person and you think "is that person male or female" and it's pretty much instant? I have to think about it. I work at a call center and I have to guess people's gender by their voice because they get butthurt if I ask them. Usually it's not a big deal, but it does affect the results of the survey...

This is a lot like how I feel. Too many confusing labels and a little too hung up on it. But I also think some labels are nice. I didn't know about demisexual until recently and finding out that there are more people like me, who aren't quite completely asexual makes me feel a lot more normal. I'm already weird enough. Having a label can be comforting. But I won't be going out telling everyone that's what I am. I'd just use queer and if they really want to know more than that they can talk to me for a while. But really, I never get asked. I don't know what people do to get asked so much.

I go with the term pansexual because I literally don't see the difference between genders. My attraction is no different between genders. It's all the same.

I chose "other" because I think people can identify as whatever they want. I personally would rather not label my sexuality, but if I absolutely HAD to, I guess I'd just choose "queer."
