Losing your virginity is a subjective experience. Some people consider oral a form of sex--others don't. So it's really up to this girl what she considers "losing my virginity."

Hmmm... Well, technically speaking, a popped cherry isn't what defines your first sexual experience. Any sexual activity with a partner (or 3.. or 4... whatever) is still sex, penetrative or not.

That being said, I think "virginity" is waaaaaayy too loose of a term. Like ... Hnng, it's hard to describe... I think it has a lot to do with emotion as well as physical stuff. More than anything, it's an act of love. Rape, sexual assault, and non-con are totally out of the question.

Random personal thing; My girlfriend of 6 months and I have openly discussed having sex, and the last thing we want is for it to be uncomfortable- we really pride emotional intimacy! It'll also be my first time "doing the deed" in general, so she wants it to be a special moment we're both ready for.

The choices imply that anyone who doesn't participate in PIV can't lose their virginity... which is very close-minded considering all the options when it comes to sexual activity.
