I proposed to my girlfriend on our 3rd year anniversary. I'm all for equal rights and all that jazz. I think my girlfriend/fiancée and I are content with our relationship status. It would be nice to publicly get married in from of our family and friends ,but I don't see that happening in Mississippi any time soon.

My fiancée and I have been engaged about 2 years now. Because where we live doesn't recognize gay partnership, we've decided to hold a personal commitment ceremony in conjunction with the honeymoon. We also plan on getting married in a state or country that does allow it. It won't hold any legal weight when we get home, but it's for us.

My fiance and I have been engaged since around March. We've been thinking about holding a personal ceremony because though it won't be recognized by law we still really want to get married before God.
