Slightly off-topic, but my ex and I tried thin bubble wrap as a dental dam once just for fun. Didn't turn out all that fun—most of the sensation was lost, and I wasn't quite able to pop the bubbles with my tongue.

I'm honestly surprised that more people don't use dental dams—to be honest they taste a whole lot better, and don't take away much sensation.

I've never had an occasion where I've needed to use one, but I kind of want to at least try using a dental dam to have the experience and see what I think of it.

I haven't had oral sex with my partner yet and I'm not sure if we plan to use dams or not. I wouldn't mind trying them but I think we're both okay with forgoing them because neither of us has any STIs and unless we start having sex with other people, it doesn't seem like a problem.

I get tested before and after each partner and dont have sex unless I trust that person and have seen their paper work so I havent used one. If i was having sex with some one I didnt know as well I would though

I generally don't just finger or go down on a girl I've just met. If we've known her long enough, then she'll be honest with us when we question before anything happens. If we haven't known her long enough, then we wait, or don't pursue at all.

I've never used a dental dam, but I've checked with all my partners (who I trusted to be honest) before giving/receiving oral sex about whether or not they had any STDs.

All the women I have slept with were in long-term relationships with me, so I haven't. That being said, none of them were tested, so I should've. I've been tested multiple times since and I'm STI-free. I got lucky.

I don't enjoy receiving oral sex, so I am never in need of dental dams. That being said, I wouldn't use them anyways. I wouldn't allow someone to go down on me unless we were very close, and in a long-term relationship.

I didn't know until about a year ago that lesbians even *could* practice safe sex. I still don't know how dental dams are used. I will have them stocked for future use, but considering how well I have to know someone to have sex with them in the first place...
