I was actually dating someone else at the time. Though my ex never felt like a boyfriend. My ex boyfriend was kinda long distance about 3 hours away. He only meet with me twice only to have sex, and he only ever called me to talk dirty. *rolls eyes* He was a jerk and a slob. I think he only dated me because he was bored. Not only that, but I was a virgin before my ex, and had felt kinda pressured into the whole sex thing. I hadn't really, or ever developed feelings for him. I tried to by talking about him to my friend in a good way. It never worked. I tried breaking up with him, but he would buy me things and force them on me. It was just too awkward than. (he was a rich bastard)
My best friend Eian moved in with me. We've known each other about 5-6 months before he became my roommate. He had never liked my ex. He knew he was a jerk. Eian he always been nice to talk with. He always teased me in the right ways and made me feel special about myself. I had had a crush on him since day one, but denied those feelings in fear of betraying my ex, even though my ex didn't much care for me. Eian knew that. He always read me well. He said I was an open book. He always used those lines like, "Your a good kid" or "Your like a brother to me." Even though he's only a year older. Well, one night I confronted him. I told him I really liked him, and he made me feel nice. He turned me down at first awkwardly. I started to tear up a little figuring it was for the best to let it go, but then he turned around and kissed me. It was very arousing. Chills went up and down my spine, and as preteen it sounds, that's the first time I actually kissed someone. It snowballed into more, and all I really remember is how his eyes watched mine and how he said he loved me.

The short story is: in middle school, he and I were outcast looser nerds together and he had a crush on me. In high school we were punk-ass hooligans together and we were friends and he still had a crush on me. He asked me to marry him when we were 17, I said yes, but he never made a move. We lost touch a few years after high school and then he wrote me a message at some point on facebook and we reconnected and started talking constantly. He moved back to our hometown and we've been inseparable ever since.

It's fun because we grew up together and really get each other... we also have the same friends, which makes life easy.

I met the love of my life, quite by accident, in a Yahoo Group by picking a fight with him. I had been offended by some chauvinistic remarks made by some of the men in the group and my hackles went right up. He emailed me in an attempt to diffuse the situation. I replied, accusing him of being chauvinistic for defending the juvenile behavior in the group. He apologized, and explained that he was just trying to help the group get along better and keep peace. He is a born diplomat and it used to drive me nuts! After ten years together, and a six year old daughter that we live and breathe for, I now know how valuable his diplomacy is. I don't argue with him when he's right. Well, not too often

I met my wife, danellejohns, through mutual friends. I thought she was there to meet someone else and I, myself, was'nt looking. A previous relationship went sour. Too many other guys involved. Anyway, I was quite gun-shy about things, and I said I would meet her at a football practice for the kids in town. I ended up being chased down by the same friends who originally brought us together. I have to say, I am so glad that happened!

I answered a Yahoo Personal ad, we chatted online, talked on the phone and finally met in person. We have been together over 10 years and are happily married.

We met in English class while I was still dating my ex boyfriend, but we had an instant connection and became best friends. A year later when my ex and I broke up, then he had a girlfriend. But she cheated on him and as a friend I helped him through it. It took us months to realize that we liked each other and we figured it out on a walk through the woods one day after school. He kissed me and we've been together since. I loved that we were really close friends first. I think that's made a lot of difference.

Yeah, I like the friends first rule too. I seem more connected to a person that way. I was friends first with my fiance and I would never change that. very cute story btw.

I remember how I met my girl so well. I had been invited to go to a hookah lounge in town to get set up with this chick. I had never been to a hookah lounge before and I was riotously uncomfortable with the new experience and a bunch of people I didn't know very well. The girl I was supposed to meet never showed up. Next thing I know, my friend is yelling something and standing up to hug someone on the stairs. Black coat. Hair tied back in to a bun. Glasses. I only caught her profile before I turned back to my computer and ditched the thought that was half forming in my head. I didn’t know anything about her. I honestly thought she was out of my league on so many levels, and later found out she thought the same thing. She told me that when she saw me in the window all she thought was "Please be gay. Please be gay. Please be gay." Neither of us have never experienced such a strong, instant sexual attraction and it has now bloomed into this incredible intimacy that makes up for the tiny amount of time we get alone together.

I was single and just having fun. I came across a Speed Date app on fb. I called it "the game". You would have 3 min "dates" with strangers via typing (and or cam if you wanted). If one of the 2 says not interested at the end of the date, BLAMMO no more talking to that person. Needless to say, many got declined LOL

In the middle of your "dates" while you wait for the next one to come your way, you can browse profiles. While clicking I saw the most beautiful smile and softest eyes ever. I said, out loud, all by myself "i have to have him". I shot him a message, we started to yak on MSN, had a first date where the fireworks were incredible and we have been together since. it will be 3 years at the end of April
