I'm just curious here as to how often gay and lesbian men and women actually have penetrative sex. For heterosexual sex it's often what people think of as "real" sex, but I know that I think of much more than penetration as sex when it comes to myself.

Almost every time. I am sure many people would agree, that the act just seems more intimate. It's when two bodies become one physically, and emotionally. That's how I see it.
