It has been over 35 years of marriage for us, and I will NEVER tire of hearing the words "I love you". Why on earth would it be a turn off to say that or hear that, during the most intimate of moments...the moment of rapture and joy???? I'm really more into kinky, rough sex. "I love you" doesn't play into that too well. LOL We always say "I love you" right before we go to sleep, but not during or right after sex. It just doesn't fit the mood. I don't know that I'd say it's a turn off, but it's not something I really want to hear when I'm cumming. Any other time of day? I'm more than happy to hear those words.

It depends on who says it, when they're saying it, what they mean by it, etc. I've been with people who warned me beforehand that it was a habit to tell people that they had sex with that they love them in the heat of the moment.

I think everybody is different. We like rough stuff, too. Yet, we both often say "I love you" during the most vile activities. I'd have to say our Kink comes from the dark side of our love. But, from our love, still, none the less.

We RARELY ever say "I love you" unlike most couples, but when we do, it's kind of a big deal. Once in a while during super intimate lovey sex we'll say it. We usually cry It's not that we don't love each other as much as the couples who say it often, we just like to keep it special and only use it when we feel it's really appropriate.
