chest binders

I've only ever used Underworks, but the styles I currently have are not the ones most people use. Most people use styles 993 or 994, or the 983 tri-top. I'm looking into a different company now as I need a new binder and I have to find something that is not so painful to wear.

I use the Underworks 997 double fronted compression top, it's full length so it binds my chest and my hips. I paid like $35 for it with shipping and everything, you can get 10% off with the code under10. Definitely worth it imo.

I prefer the double-layer post-surgical vest from underworks for binding. It has two sets of clips in the front that make it very adjustable. If I want my chest bound but stomach undone, I can do that. I can choose whether I want a lot of compression, or less compression, but for longer binding time on those long days. If I get cramps, I can loosen or unclip the stomach. If I want to exercise, I can loosen the clips to breathe better.

Also, it improves my breath control. It forces me to breathe from my diaphragm, so I can sing better and play wind instruments better. If I need to unclip or loosen my stomach to get even more air, I can, without sacrificing the binding.

It easily tucks in to my pants and only now has started to roll because I lost weight. It has only become a little bit looser on the loose setting, but is still just as strong on the tight setting, and it's been 7 months of five-day-a-week wear, washing twice a week.

I used to use two sports bras from Target, one extra-small and one small (I'd usually fit a medium or a large). I eventually bought two binders from T-Kingdom, and although they didn't compress more effectively, they were much more comfortable, especially since the shoulder straps weren't too short. The T-Kingdom binders weren't perfect, though, and the next time I buy some I'm going to get them from Loveboat, since I've heard some very good things about them.

Underworks does seem to work best and it is the most affordable.
Be very careful with ace bandages. Even though they do it all the time in the movies, they can actually be very damaging for your body. I would suggest underworks as the best way to bind.

I bought one online from a site called Tkingdom. Works like a charm! Before that I would wear a sports bra and tightly wrap duc tape around my chest. Trashed alot of sports bras that way, and lots of fainting lol!

I used Underworks model 988 - loved it for a binder. But I'm thankful for top surgery every day I don't have to wear it!

I have a DD chest and the tritop binder gets me flat enough to pass in (rather stiff) t-shirts
