toying with becoming hosted

Contributor: J's Alley J's Alley
Ok, so I am toying with the idea of having a hosted site. I am a little worried though.

1. Would it be better now in terms of updating my reviews?
2. Will it mess up my subscribers and followers?
3. What site should I go through?

I have blogger, but I am having issues with adding certain things on the page because I guess blogger can be a bit difficult with that.

What are your opinions?

So are you planning to switch to another CMS like Wordpress?

I am not sure. I can't get some stuff loaded because of the CSS and it is really bothering me. I am just wondering if it is really worth it or not.

Well it doesn't really make sense to pay for hosting and use blogger. There are some options there but they are rather more difficult than they are worth, IMO.

On the other hand, customizing WordPress can sometimes require a stronger knowledge of coding. CSS is something you'll find everywhere.

I was thinking about the SAME thing about two days ago. I looked up a whole bunch of information, but then my head started to hurt from it all and I threw my hands up. I know that there is a bunch of plus sides, but it really seems like a pain in the butt right now. Although I am planning on taking a website design course next semester, so maybe I will take the plunge after that.

I'm not sure how it would work with your reviews. I personally had no problem when I moved all of my reviews over because of the fact that I moved from Wordpress to Wordpress. I have gotten a lot more traffic since getting hosted, though.

It shouldn't mess up your followers if you can find a plug-in to port your followers over.

Personally, I have a site I could recommend, and I have everything I need at $24 a year, and they have even cheaper options, and they host adult sites. Just PM me. I've been loving it so far, and while you can't have blogger if you're hosted, you can use Wordpress or other content systems. There's also lots of premade templates if you're worried about the coding issues.
