What are some community events you would like to see started and what would you do to help implement them if they were approved?

I realize we have a committee in place that does an awesome job!! However, it seems there are discussions for everything that we would like to see change, items to carry and whatnot, but none for community events.

I have thought about fun meetings, parties, etc. occasionally that I would like to see on EF, but did not know what to do with the ideas. So--let's see what happens and the ideas that come up on this thread! Maybe we can find some more fun activities to involve more members and have fun suggesting them as well.

Hey there, that's actually what the "Build a Better Eden" thread is for - community ideas, meetings, and clubs. Parties are special events and are up to the discretion of the staff. If you have any questions or ideas, you can always send me an email; I happen to oversee those kind of things.

Well sure but wouldn't it be great if everyone just posted their ideas willy nilly all over the forums and then the staff had to go hunt and search for them? I mean why waste your time with a monthly community meeting and all that?
Let's all just create more useless forums full of ideas that aren't well thought out and probably won't be implemented. NOTHING feels more fun than having a great idea and taking it through the wrong channels!
I would think actually attending a meeting or two of the community planning times would be very appealing if you have ideas and stuff but I guess posting your ideas where they will actually get noticed is so tough.
