If you were at the 10th Anniversary EF party (we missed it...darn), explain what went on.

We have never been to an "online" party. We wanted to be, but both ended up working late. We are still confused as to what was going on??? What, as a plain old, at home, computer person, would I have been seeing, or doing???
How did that work??

Everyone met in a forum and made posts to chat with one another. The Eden staff made posts informing us of the games and then we followed those instructions to win prizes. There was trivia and a scavenger hunt and more. It was a lot of fun. I got to see people I knew from around the Eden community and met a few new people too!

I think the forum post is still up so you can read through the posts if you have the time to look through it. link

Or go to the holiday parties section in the forums and it shows the games that were played as well.

We had a storm come through so I only made a short appearance before my hubby told me that I needed to get off so he could shut the Internet off in case lightning came through.

Lots and lots of conversations going on, where anyone could join or just lurk. Lots of virtual booze (and some folks were drinking at home, anyway). Lots of bad jokes and punning. Lots of flirting and innuendos. Lots of random stuff mentioned. You had to really keep up to catch any game announcements (apparently, some had trouble spotting the announcements).

Gary and Stormy were the ring-leaders - we had visits from old contributors, too, as well as newbies.

Our normal holiday parties have about 60 people posting at the most. This one had well over 300 posters and probably as many lurkers. No one anticipated such a huge turn out, so the servers were strained and it caused lagging in page loading/refreshing. This was the first HUGE party we've had at EF.

The holiday parties, though just as crazy but without lagging, are worth attending, even just to lurk. Maybe you'll be able to join us at the next one.

Lots of confusion! I tried to go on but I just couldn't understand the games and since the forum didnt constantly refresh, it was annoying to keep up with conversation.

That sounds like so much fun! I'm sad I missed it.

Oh it was a blast, there were games and trivia and the usual chatter and (trying) to get to know one another. We had such a huge turn out that it was hard to keep up!
