Do you celebrate Valentines Day?

We celebrate it, but not really in a big way. I agree that we shouldn't need a specific day to be romantic, and we do romantic things often, but because of the big nature of the holiday, or rather the big deal that often gets made of it, we use that as an excuse to hole up for a weekend. We both have schedules that often conflict with the other's so planning these holed up weekends takes a while and only gets to happen every few months.

We celebrate but it's low key. We tend to be no pressure types. Why put all that expectation and pressure into it? Dinner and movies suit us just fine.

I voted yes but we don't spend bundles because I think it's a Hallmark holiday anyway. Plus I'm treated like a princess year-round rather just one day

I celebrate it, but I don't go super crazy or anything.

I'm actually anti-Valentine's Day. However, I plan to be here for our V-Day party.

I met my husband on Valentine's Day, so it's more than just a Hallmark holiday to us.

My mom and her second husband's anniversary was on V Day.
My Man and I are pretty low key about it. Usually, we get each other something to eat. I get candy and he get....beef jerky or cheese or some other Man Food. He doesn't have candy much. I hope to get flowers. He usually buys them for me for no reason at all (and he got into a little thingy of buying me flowers to cheer me up if I wasn't able to Come. Sweet man.) but it's nice to get a bouquet for V Day.

Oh yeah? Well that's cool and it must be convenient.

Vegan.Guy and P'Gell Yeah, it is definitely cool. I'm not sure about convenient, but definitely cool.

We celebrate Valentines day, but usually never ON Valentines day due to work complications.
02/08/2011
I'm not big on Valentine's day...I try to make it as easy as possible.

We technically met on Valentine's day, so in that regard we do. We do something special as well.

Valentine's Day always feels like... an "obligation" to me, like something you HAVE to do and I'd soooo much rather have my partner surprise me randomly with something romantic on a regular day "just cuz he wanted to make me happy" than give me anything at all on Valentine's day.
That's just so much more romantic to me.
That's just so much more romantic to me.

We don't usually celebrate V-Day ever. This year is a first. Although, my kid came home sick today from school. We will see if he is better by the weekend, so he can go to a friends house this; that way we can celebrate properly. (Hopefully, he doesn't get us sick in return...that's always the way it happens.)

We don't do too much but we do celebrate it. Once in a blue moon we'll do dinner but usually it's just home with the family and get maybe ribs or pizza. We do cards, flowers and candy but it's a family thing not just me and Hubby.

This is my first Valentine's Day with my boyfriend, but we are going to celebrate it. I don't know how, though. He said he got me a cool gift, and later said "is a non-tangible gift okay?" I'm like "uh, yeah, but now I'm super curious." Haha. I'm gonna make him a card with some craft stuff, and I want to buy him something, but I'm not sure what. I know I'm getting him a Tenga Flip Hole, but I don't really want that to be for V-Day.
02/08/2011
Yes but we dont go all out. Get each other a card. He may come have supper here if nothing else is going on.
02/08/2011
We do not. It's a bullshit made up holiday. I just think the whole concept is asinine. Shouldn't you celebrate love year round?
02/08/2011
I do. But not in a huge way. We usually just remind one another that we love the other EXTRA loud, since we already say it multiple times a day. Its also a great day to use as an excuse for eating chocolate if your on a diet.
"Oh...well I was on a diet, but it would be horrible not to eat it! *Munch*"

We celebrate Valentine's Day, because our anniversary is a few days before.

We celebrate but nothing to extravagant ! Just a special dinner and definitely sex ! Lol

We celebrate it, but as with others, it's low-key. Actually, we usually celebrate it on the closest Saturday to the 14th, rather than on Valentine's Day itself.

We try to do the same thing just because we both work so much. Although one year it ended up being us going to the junkyard and then me going to work, so that was a crappy Saturday, lol

I do it mostly for the kids. Hubby and I just give each other a kiss and greeting. We don't go all out though. He won't even be here this year. Matter of fact, I think he was traveling last year for work at the same time.
02/09/2011
My wife and I don't really celebrate it. I'm not even sure what day it is.
