Do you drive around near Christmas to look at decorations and lights? We do this on Christmas Eve as a tradition.

Yeah, I used to. I want to cry, my daughter and I did this all the time. She lives eight states away and we haven't done this in a few years. Since she got married. Loved it though!!!

I try to. There are a few areas around Detroit you MUST go to though: The Grosse Points (down...Jefferson?) right on the lake shore, Grosse Isle is pretty nice, basically any place close to water is good!

Before we moved we used to go to the same house every year to see the massive display. My wife and I went as kids and now we bring our kids to see the same place. Same goes for the light displays that you can find around.

There are 2 neighborhoods around where I live that are known for their Christmas decorations nation wide.

not really. there are a few house around my neighborhood that have decorations up that the wife will take he boys to. But you have to drive 45 minutes on way to go see the nicer neighborhoods in town that are known for Christmas decorations. Too far to drive out of our way to see lights.

We used to go out when we were younger with our parents (my sister and I).. I haven't since then though.

I love how they look. I want to walk around the neighborhood sometime and look at them all, but I'm too tired at night to do it.
