That is so sad, sorry to hear about your cat.
We do fake since my dad has allergies and my mom hated cleaning up the needles when she was younger. So it has been fake trees for me all my life. This year I could honestly careless if a tree or any Christmas decorations get put up in the house

I like one of the local places near my house because they usually only sell the trees that are from an area that has too many trees in one location. That ... more
I prefer a fresh real tree.

Nope. The place I live in doesn't allow real trees. So I use a fake one.

We began using an artificial tree about 15 years ago for practical reasons - they hold more of my Hallmark ornaments and the branches easily support weighty ornaments, too.

We had a fake tree for the first ten years that my wife and I were together, but we got a real tree last week and we're a real tree family from here on out.

I always had real trees growing up and the first 10 years (or so) of our marriage. We switched to "fake" because it was cleaner and we could leave it up longer.

We bought our Frasier fir last night. The house smells amazing. I love buying these types because the needles hardly fall. Ours from last year is back behind my house in the wooded area and it's still green! That is crazy!

Always a fake tree. We bought a real tree one year and it was awful, it just kept falling apart on us.
