We want the Community Rep themselves to be the contact for the Adopt-A-Family organization - you will be like an ambassador for this community. It's really about all of us banding together. Not about the company, but the people here getting together to do some good for those in need!

I can't believe anybody would say that about you! Want for me to beat them with something stabbity??

I think this is a really nice idea. You may not be able to tie it into sex toys, but I agree with Sir. It shows a caring community of people who are not only into helping others better their sex lives, but their quality of life as well.

Well I think we pretty much nailed down the contributor of the month, we are about to get the ball rolling on these charitable ideas, and for those of you who were working on event proposals, we should be meeting next Thursday the 04th and we can talk about them then.

So no mention of toy's?

I hate to say it but I think that would defiantly go over better around my community. Still fairly new to our area, but I know the people to ask.

Oh Sigel took care of it...was a playmate and she was in tears when he left for all the right reasons. I just laughed, silly women will never learn that attacking me gets both the guys all stabbity. She did appologise though so it's all cool. She really had no idea what this is all about.

Still Were it me I wouldn't care where the help came from...ummm how about we opt in to some of the utility charity drives. Some of the coops in this area take donations for the underpriviledged families that have trouble paying their bills. I know food and clothing is more flashy but it means squat if you are freezing to death...

Yes, excellent idea about the Adopt-the-Family (though the other ideas were wonderful, too!). Look forward to hearing more.

Everyone, have a great evening!

So what do you all think we should be donating to these families? General necessities that they may be needing, like warm clothing for the wintertime and food items? Maybe school supplies for the children?

What sorts of places are best for shopping? I personally love Target and Walmart, and it would be better especially because you'd be able to get more for less, and that's great for families who do not have the supplies.

Goodnight Everyone!

Please feel free to keep sharing your ideas and suggestions on the thread though! I will read them all tomorrow.

I suspect that when you are in contacting with the organizations, the families might have a list of things that they really need.

Yeah, Target and Walmart.

Last year when my theatre group helped out a family, we bought things in bulk off ebay, they had a little girl in a size 9-10.
So we bought clothing in bulk for her, along with a little suitcase-ish thing.

And everyday things like soap and deodorant, plus some cute hair ribbons of the little girl.

Also, mittens, gloves, scarves... sweaters.. always a good idea to me.

That's true, you're right. I once got a family a while back who didn't really have a list, but said the children's sizes in clothing, and that always helps.
