One thing... If we do 4-6 categories of toy costumes, then we might not able to do any other categories like writing, or real costumes. I am talking resources for prizes here. That is ok if that is what you want, but we need to decide that.

That makes sense. Maybe try to narrow the toy categories down to 4 or 5 and just do 1 for writing?

We could make it a part of the contest rules that photo submissions must include an index card in the shot, with the name of the contributor and the title of the "piece"... Like "Allegro in Wonderland" or whatever This will help guarantee that people cannot just pull pics off the internet.

I vote you try and do other TYPES of contests, not just different versions of toy costumes. Writing is a good one, but any suggestions I guess. Give us a variety. I'm a pretty good writer, but not when it comes to actual stories, and I don't know if I would be good enough to make a toy costume, but giving us more variety I think is better than doing JUST different types of toy costume contests.

I started to confuse myself. Haha. Hopefully you understand what I mean.

I definitely like having a contest for horror erotica Fan fiction though? Hmm... Whenever I think of fanfiction, I think of those disclaimers that fanfic writers always stick up top. "I don't own Harry Potter; don't sue!" Heh.

I just thought of it as a way to integrate some good horror fiction or pre-existing characters into the writing. We could easily include it in the erotica section and simply allow people to use a figure already used in some other work - dracula, etc.

That works. Did people also want to do an actual costume contest? I thought I saw that somewhere. But there would have to be some kind of guideline that people weren't buying the complete costume and just putting it on.

Also, will people be able to enter once in every category? More than once in each?

Yeah I just think giving more variety instead of having JUST toy costume contests in different versions might benefit everyone better. But just my opinion!

I just had this totally ridiculous idea for people who are comfortable doing vids: Halloween Sex Toy Skits. Think Potter Puppet Pals, but featuring your favorite vibes and dildos in witches' hats and toilet paper (erm, I mean "mummy costume"). Ten points(*) to whomever does an abridged sex toy version of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".

(*) Points not redeemable for anything, except maybe my adoration and a ladle-full of awesomesauce.

Maybe it could be in the rules that they can enter as many contests as they want, but if they win more than one, they have to pick which title they want to take, and then of course the runner up wins whichever ones thy didn't choose, and so on?
