Do you celebrate Halloween?

Contributor: TheirPet TheirPet
I remember growing up seeing kids that didn't celebrate Halloween and they always looked so upset that they weren't getting any candy. Do you celebrate it? Do you let your kids? Did your parents let you celebrate it as a kid?

I personally don't celebrate it, but I do go to my friends house and enjoy the night with his kids as I don't have any. It's really fun to watch them barter for each others candy.

My parents stopped letting me go out when cyanide and arsenic was found in Pixie Sticks and razorblades were found in candied/ caramel apples back in the 80's. I did let my children go out. My husband and I don't celebrate Halloween now though. We celebrate Samhaim.

We take the kids trick-or-treating, but only through safe places, such as stores, church festivals and the like.

I didn't get to celebrate it when I was younger (some religious nonsense) but now I'm all about it! I went to 2 parties in 2 nights this weekend and dressed up

Yes for the tot's sake. It doesn't really matter to me, and I don't dress up.

We participate and have fun. I would not use the word "celebrate". There is nothing we "celebrate" that night.

I still celebrate it, but I really miss trick or treating! Instead it's fun sexy time but that's just as fun if not more!

I love Halloween! I dress up, hand out candy, and then after the modern day festivities my hubby and I celebrate the day with a Samhain ritual to ring in the new year

We celebrate the candy, trick or treating, dressing up and pumpkin carving related with Halloween. Mostly it's for the little guy but we really like the holiday too.

I love Halloween! I'm too old to dress up now, but I love choosing some scary movies, some autumn beers, and having a small party =)
