It's VERY old-fashioned now, but it used to be a common before or after dinner wine. I have an elderly aunt who still has a glass almost every day after "teatime" but before dinner. She taught me about it when I was about 15. I keep some on hand for her visits, and I always join her in a glass. It's as tasty and heartwarming as anything else; it just fell out of fashion.
