My dad and step mother gave me a Nook. My KOBO died and my dad asked My Man if it was OK if he gave me a Nook, and My Man said that would be great (our presents to each other were sparse this year due to finances) They gave me a Nook, a plug in for sockets, a light, and a cover for it.
I've already bought two books, (a Stephen King e-book and a book on Auspergers) and am happily enjoying my Nook. (Together they were under $10.00, so I got a deal.)
My kids got me stuff from an organic farm which makes their own beauty products and my little one got me some nail polish.
My Man got me a necklace with a pearl on it, and some sweat pants and a sweat shirt which don't fit. (When will he realize I don't wear a "Small" anymore?)
Weird, I didn't get any books this year. Since our Border's closed nobody went shopping for books.
My step sister and her husband got us a fruit basket, which is funny because we got them a Harry and David fruit basket. I really don't know them very well (they live out of town and we didn't meet until we were both adults) so it was nice to get the fruit.
We didn't get to see my brother and his wife and his kids, as I had an exhaustion induced freak out yesterday, but I know he got me the last two seasons of
Big Bang Theory. I got them a Harry and David basket, so we'll have to see them soon or the fruit will go bad.
I had a little breakdown while making a strudel for my brother's house yesterday and My Man said I needed to go to bed before I lost it completely. We stayed home so he called my brother and explained I was not doing well. I miss my bro and his kids, but we'll see them soon, I hope.
I think my mother is losing it. She got me a cake decorating kit (which is appropriate as I am always baking) and a check for.... $40.00.
Pretty stressed from having 12 people for a HUGE Christmas dinner, being out of money, other issues. Not the best Christmas ever. We survived, though. Massive migraine today, and I have a patient I have to see tomorrow.
