You know those houses that string lights on their windows, roof, doors, trees etc....and then they flash in time with a song? Normally you pull up to the house in your car and change the radio station to a specified one and the house will flash in time with the music on that station. How do you feel about these houses?
I think they're kind of both tacky and cool, but I wouldn't want to live next to a house that played music all night for weeks!
I agree on both counts, especially if I lived near to that house. Regardless, I do think it's an awesome way to display your holiday spirit and talents. Furthermore, I know it takes countless hours for someone to pull that off, not to mention the expense for others like me to enjoy.
I've never heard of this, but I find all blinking christmas lights to be tacky. They're also an annoying distraction while I'm driving if they're the stupid red-orange ones and I have to double take to make sure the house isn't on fire.
I'm a total christmas light lover. I don't know why, but christmas lights just make me feel all warm and fuzzy, like I'm a little kid with stars in my eyes again.
I've never heard of musically rigged christmas lights, though... That sounds odd.
These things seem perfect in somebody else s neighborhood. So I don't have to see it every night for a month and a half, but drive by some time with the boy and wife in hand.

nice to look at but I would not want to live near one. if its all updated with the new LED lights I would imagine the power would be a lot less then the old C type bulbs.
We'd LOVE to do this one year! Only instead of traditional Christmas music, we'd follow the example of some people I've seen online who set their lights to Slayer, Metallica, etc. It would also be awesome for Halloween.
Unoriginal and trying way to hard is what they are. The first one I saw on youtube was amazing. Then some few years later it starts poping up everywhere. Everyone's oh wow how original and what a great idea. Just kinda bothers me. It's already been done and it will never be as good as the first one of corse.
Usually I'd just look as I drive by. We do have a farm that has a light show every night from Thanksgiving to New Year's. So usually Christmas Eve we drive through the farm and enjoy all the crazy decorations. Takes about 45 minutes to drive through it all and every night it seems like half the county is there. They have rides, monkeys and all kinds of other stuff going on too but the drive is free.
