My partner and I have spent about the same amount this year. That said, we don't really spend a lot. Just a few small presents and a date night each year.

I think I actually spent money on it for the first time in five years ... I got his present three weeks ago, before the separation, but we're meeting for dinner tomorrow, anyway ...

It was just a Sonic Screwdriver flashlight, so it wasn't too much, I guess.

We keep it very low-key. We both like handmade Valentines, quiet dinner at home - that sort of thing. I did spend some points on lingerie for her this year, which is a first.

That is us too. It's our favorite holiday. Devoted to LOVE, CHOCOLATE, SEX, FLOWERS...I mean, what is not to love?

Less, but that's because of the distance (can't exactly show up with flowers and make a fancy dinner)

We're just going to do a nice quiet evening at home with dinner, nothing fancy, but we have did this before so its nothing new. Valentines day really doesnt mean that its necessary to go out and spend money, sometimes you just have to get creative

We don't make a big deal out of V-day, so we never spend much money on it.

I never really got into Valentine's Day. I baked him some cupcakes that I piped pink roses on top of, but I didn't really spend any money specifically on him since I already had all of the ingredients.

I got him a card & some chocolates, but that's pretty much it.
The family decided to go out and we went to Dave & Busters for the night, where I dropped a chunk of change on game cards.. (kind of regretting it today, I won't lie)
Otherwise, I guess this is technically the first year I've ever bought something for someone other than my Mom, lol.

Yes, I spent less but only because I had less friends.

Last year I had many friends and bought lots of donuts and made cards for each of them. This year they're all graduated or resistant to donuts, so I didn't buy them anything
