Wednesday and Sunday are the two biggies, but airfares and road traffic are FAR less painful on early morning Friday and returning on Saturday evening or Monday. So, which days do YOU use for travel if you are somewhere "else" for Thanksgiving?

We have a drive on Thanksgiving, to my brother's house, but it's all on the same day, no real "travel." (I just found out his children will not be there, courtesy of his lovely ex-wife's changing demands) and our usual Christmas party with him has been moved to a day when we always see my mom's side of the family, so we can't see him and his kids the day we usually do; Boxing Day. Shit.
Anyway, we drive about 30 miles one way, but it's on Thanksgiving.
Our oldest daughter is in Colorado, as of a few weeks ago. So, we probably won't see her this year for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. The news keeps getting worse for our holidays this year.
