I just can't believe after following the info and trying to make a decision I can't even voice my opinion in the forum. I've yet to decide but I'm looking at your blog.

This is bullshit. The closing of the forum posts, I mean. We have the right to keep talking about this. It's not pretty, but they should be able to deal with it. They'll probably close this thread now that we're talking about, god forbid, "the incident."

Eden's is well within their right to close unnecessary threads.. and they should, it's bad for business. With their own reviewers taking up arms and taking cheap shots at them after a very unfortunate incident. It's over and done with now, we've all had a chance to sleep on it and I feel that they should be removed as it embarrasses Eden and embarrasses the community. If people want to further discuss the matter they should do so in email, a private one on one is better than a public stoning... for both parties involved.

I'm not stoning anyone. I simply feel that this is supposed to be a community that welcomes the voices of its members, and closing down that thread is in direct opposition to that. It's been ONE day and they posted it in the forums, which not everyone reads. What happens if someone was away from the computer for a day and comes back to find this, and they can't comment? It's unfair.

I have just read about the security breach - i have been sick and not able to check the forum for a couple of days - i tried to comment on the threads to discover if i was affected - but i couldn't comment

can anyone tell me how i can check if i was on the list? - i have written fantasys for the site and reviewed toys and am now very concerned

i really thought this was a trustworthy site - can someone reassure me please?

The new program manager did state that everyone on that list had been contacted...so if you've not received an email I'd assume you weren't on it.


I am actually surprised Eden didn't delete posts regarding this issue, as that is a common practice in most forums for any post that is even remotely negative towards the company. It is the right of the company if they so wished to do it, and I think it is a pretty positive sign that Edan has elected not to delete the posts or threads. They have repeatedly stated that they take responsibility and they have responded to concerns over and over. I think the whole issue should just die, as it is done and over with. Yes it was very unfortunate, but shouldn't everyone be thankful that credit card info wasn't included also? This could have been much worse than it was. When my bank (one of the largest banks in the country at that) lost records, it took a freaking week for me to even be notified. When my husband's VA info was stolen, it took nearly two weeks for him to get a letter of notification. Things aren't instant, and actually Eden responded very quickly. These things happen...that's life. I've actually been pretty impressed with the openness and honesty with which eden has handled this. In The Pink just started working as the new program manager...lets cut her some slack already.

This is the first and last post I will ever make about this issue on the eden forums. It happened, and it's over with...time to move on. I do however offer my support to Betty Rocket and will look at her blog.

I agree with Epiphora about Eden Fantasys' decision to close down those threads. I believe that it's important for us to have a place to speak freely about this and other issues that may not make Eden Fantasys look good. Ok, some readers have heard enough about it. They are free to stop reading those threads. We should be free to continue to post on the subject and on any other subject of interest.

I have NEWS: The new procedures to safeguard all company information will be announced Monday/Tuesday. The boss is drafting the plan over the weekend. Just got the email and thought you’d all like to know. (Yes, he and I are still working at nearly 11pm Friday night…told ya, we take this seriously!) So expect an announcement hopefully on Tuesday.
