For personal reasons or otherwise, I think that many will find it too hard to consider watching a heart-wrenching movie based on the loss of a dad on September 11, 2001. Although I know I'll need to bring a box of tissues, I think I am going to see this one. "Rotten Tomatoes" doesn't give it a good rating, but I think it's more about the story, not the movie. Do you want to see the movie "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close"?

I'm not sure yet, I've only heard good things about the actual book, though sad. I'm going to wait to see what people say about the movie.

I read the book and wasn't overly impressed with it. I mean, it's good, but it's not great. I probably won't see the film.

it's too smaltzy. here's a kid, he's hurt by 9/11 and he does stuff. feel bad. 9/11! 9/11! feel worse, or I'm going to tell Mayor Guiliani and he'll go all Patriot act up your asses, feel bad for this kid now!

I think I would rather read the book but, eh, it kind of seems like too many people are using 9/11 as a quick way to make the audience feel sad in films these days.
