Are you the "in theater" noise maker at movies?

My mother taught me good movie theater manners when I was little and they stuck. ^_^
Same here.

I'm not but my spouse (deceased) was and there were several times that I very nearly had to fight some fuck head who became abusive because of it. Granted I too wished that she'd just shut up but I simply would not allow some stranger to comment without a comeback in her defense.

No--because I actively, almost irrationally hate that person at the movies. In general, people making noise when I'm trying to watch something pisses me off. At the theater, where I've actually paid my own money to go see it, and there's some immature, socially stunted, cave man with no social graces or consideration for other people who are not them who is making noise like an obnoxious waste of space...well, I just wish people were legally entitled to hold that person down, line up, and take turns punching them in the face until the message gets through: STFU, or stay home. And I'd be the first person in line, with brass knuckles at the ready.

See? That's an almost irrational hatred of that noisy person at the movies...almost.

I guess the only disturbance I'd make is texting and having the bright light bother people... although I don't see how one person texting is that big of a deal, especially if it's for a minute.

I might chuckle at jokes but I'm generally pretty quiet even in general. Loudmouths like that are the reason I just try and avoid spoilers for every single movie I want to watch until it just goes to DVD rather than brave a theater. I can wait.

I try not to and if I feel like making a comment I will lean into the person and whisper.

I don't make loud noises when I am watching a movie but I do talk to my friends that go with me but only in low tones so I don't bother anyone.
