Do you buy Blu-rays?

I find it annoying that you have to buy your favorite movies in VHS, then DVD and now Blu-ray. I'm sticking to DVD just because it's not "extinct" yet and it's cheaper.

I've re-purchased a few titles in my DVD collection on Blu-ray because there was a noticeable boost in quality, or the BR had extras I wanted, however I have no plans to replace everything I own. It would be ridiculously expensive, and DVDs are perfectly fine unlike VHS which degraded with every viewing.

I don't have a tv. So no movies for me. My brother has a huge dvd collection. He has not purchased any blu rays to replace his older dvd movies. He said he would not waste any more money on the same movie.

I haven't rebought my collection of DVDs on Blu-Ray, but I do buy Blu-Ray for new movies and movies I don't own already but want that are released on Blu-Ray.

My Blu-Ray player upconverts DVDs to a higher quality.

I've been buying blu-ray since we had to buy a player anyway (our old DVD player went kaput). Also, with our HD TV, which we got free from a friend who was discarding it, the difference is quite noticeable in quality.

We don't buy a lot - but when we do it's BluRay - love the clarity.

So true! buying/re-buying, that would be so annoying, I'm glad I don't do the TV/MOVIE thing.

I only buy the few movies I really love on BluRay. Dvd quality is usually good enough for everything else.

If something worth buying comes out then I'll get it on Blu Ray. I'm a lot picker than I used to be about buying movies these days.

My wife buys Blu-Ray of her favorite movies, but for new releases we usually just borrow DVDs from the Library
