With some rare exceptions, they're just people like you and me.

I've met a handful of musicians. Some were just rising and others were on the oldies station before I was born. The just rising set were an interesting experience. Very interesting experience. The lead singer was so depressed and in his own world it was like he wasn't even standing there but the bassist was really nice. And I have had the pleasure of touching Todd Rundgren's hand twice at two different shows.

I've met a few, but the one that was most memorable was John Madden. If you know anything about him, he doesn't fly, and when he used to do football broadcasting he'd take his special Madden Van on road trips to the game. One day we happened to be behind his bus coming back to town and followed it for ever (I felt like a groupie lol) until he stopped in a local clothing store. He was very gracious, and even signed an autograph.

I've met some hockey stars who are friends with my uncle. One of them was nice, but the others just gave us looks like we were beneath them or something.

I can't vote because they weren't jerks, it wasn't "awesome," and I'm not uninterested, and I have met some celebrities, so I feel like I'm in this weird limbo category.

I've met Rick Rood (he was a wrestler that OD'd), Keith Sweat, Greg Maddux, Jeff Foxworthy. I doubt any of them would actually remember me though. I encountered all of them in daily life when I lived in Atlanta. I never made a big deal about who they were and they didn't act like jerks.

Some of the hockey players from the Sens and they actually signed my daughters cast (at the time she had a buckle fracture in her wrist and while they signed autograph cards for her they asked what happened. she told them she fell and they gave her an awww and signed the cast). Uh. and the Governor General, actually her term was just up, comes into my work often and I serve her.

I find that pro hockey players are quite active in the community. The leafs do similar things around T.O. It's quite admirable. These guys take a beating, but they have big hearts.

I met Dylan Cash (that's his name, right?) who plays Michael on General Hospital. Such a nice kid, we talked about Pokemon, lol. I don't watch the show, but my dad's gf does.

Once upon a time, I was right in front of Amy Sedaris, but was too damn shy to say anything.

I was at a hotel in LA when I was 21, we got in the elevator to go down to the lobby and Johnny Knoxville was in it. At the time I was in LOVE with him, lol.
The next closest thing to "meeting" a celebrity..Don't laugh.. When I was a freshman in high school I won meet and greet passes for the Backstreet Boys. haha

I've met quite a few musicians over the years...and have never had an experience with them that wasn't great.

I've massaged some professional athletes. It was actually more of a pain in the butt than anything. Doing 2 hr deep tissue massages on 300 lb football players is not my idea of a good time.

I worked on one regularly and he was really nice, and two others who were neither nice nor rude, they just didn't really talk to me.

Yeah, I can't vote either - they weren't all awesome or jerks. And mostly it's just "meh".

More porn stars that I can count, wrestlers, musicians, authors, artists, people in the business world etc. Most of the jobs I've worked have put me in fairly public positions and it just happens. I don't get starstruck though.

It's not something that I aspire too. I guess it would be cool if it happened but I don't care if it doesn't.

Several. I've worked on a lot of live shows.

I don't know if I can vote for one thing or another on this one though, because some famous people were nice and some weren't, and most of them were just average folk at work or going about their daily life. Generally you only get to see them in one part of their life, so it's not like you really get to know them intimately.

I've met mostly musicians & came pretty close to meeting Johnny Depp when he was filming in Crown Point. Damn bathroom break. That would have made my day!

I used to work in airports and saw celebrities travelling frequently. Met a bunch of them when I first started working there, and used to be fun to say I met so and so today at work!!! After about the dozenth time... it was all too common. And to be honest, I really don't care that I don't know who so and so is.

Although this one time when I finally got to meet Big Bird? I swooned accidentally knocking over Elmo. Whose to say that wasn't intentional???

I have bumped into Atlanta Braves players, Robert Redford, and Shaun White, but they are just normal people going about their everyday lives. I just let them be.

There should be a never selection. I've never met any because I've lived most of my life out of the states, and the time I have lived in the states has been in a tiny town. :p
So there is no possible way I could meet a celebrity, even if I wanted to.

I've met a small few.

My favorite to meet was prolly R.A. Salvatore when he came through for a book signing.

I worked inside security for Super Bowl XL when it was in Detroit. Pro football players are HUGE and the cheerleaders wore a LOT of makeup.

I got Peter Mayhew's autograph at GenCon a few years ago. I wish I had talked to him, but I was too nervous, and I didn't want to get too far away from the group I was with. While I don't really have a favorite author, I think it would be pretty cool to meet one. If I could pick anyone, it would be Frank Herbert, though it's too bad that's impossible. I love the original Dune books.
