Kill Bill

Anyone as obsessed with these movies as I am?
I watch them at least once a week.
The bride is just too bad ass, I can't stay away for long!

Love those movies! My boyfriend hates how often I watch them, but I can't help it. Tarantino posted on twitter a while back about working on a third, so hopefully that happens.

Great movies. I haven't watched them in a long time!

I like the first one much better than the second.
Especially Gogo. <3

I knew I was going to love these when I first saw them, when Tarantino used the opening scene from Eaten' Alive - totally made me laugh. Both are good, but I like the first one better

I liked the first one the best. It was a great movie. The second one was so slow up until the end. I did not care for it very much.

I don't watch them very often, but I do love them. They're a lot of fun!

Or should I say "it's a lot of fun"? Kill Bill is supposedly intended to be considered a single movie - it just got split into two parts somewhere during production.

Yep, exactly. It's one movie, and I think must be watched as such!
That's why the second volume is so slow, it's the second half of the movie, which is usually the slower part.

Ha, I didn't care for either of them. I won't force anybody to turn it off if it's on, but I won't actively choose to watch it either.

I love both of them. And I also love Chiaki Kuriyama.

I enjoyed the first one very much, and watch it every once in a while, but it was the second one that just glued me to my seat and keeps me coming back. I'm a big fan of dialogue, and the second one was just bursting at the seams with memorable conversations. I love Tarantino when he hits a writing groove.

I LOVE Kill Bill v.2. Thanks for the reminder. I know what I'll be watching tonight.

I've seen the first one and thought so little of it, I didn't bother with the second one. It just didn't do anything for me. I guess I didn't "get it" and I've never understood violence just for violence's sake. I've enjoyed several of Tarantino's movies, where the violence was integral to the plot, but for me Kill Bill didn't have a plot, so I couldn't get into it at all.

I'm also not an Uma Thurman fan at all. I always think she knows she's on film and thinks she's giving everybody hard ons and I don't find her attractive in the least. "Oh, I'm SOOOOO sexy." Meh.

Mileage...

The second volume is an entirely different movie. Yes, violence, but not for violence's sake. The dialogue and characters are far more interesting.

I find myself only enjoying Uma Thurman when she works with Tarantino. She really seems to step up to the acting plate in the second film.

Maybe I'll see it, as I'm missing something. I didn't mind Uma in Pulp Fiction but I'm not fond of her in much else.

Perhaps we'll rent it to see what we're missing. If it has more plot, maybe we'll "get it" this time.
