Was Fifty Shades of Grey dirty enough for you?

CAKES CAKES
I enjoyed reading the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, but it wasn't dirty enough for me. I would have liked more kinky exploits. What about you?

No. I found it to be quite repetitive.

I found the sex scenes really boring, especially after all the hype. Ana would be thinking "OMG, this is so erotic!" and I'm like no... no, it isn't.

Lioncub Lioncub
Was more of a Harlequin Romance style than a true Erotica to me.

I put it down less than half way through. It was not nearly as exciting as the hype made it out to be.

Walmart, the store that won't sell explicit CDs, sells Fifty Shades. That should be a good indication of how "dirty" it was. I found it pretty boring.

I agree.

The sex scenes were anything but sexy. The writing overall was ridiculous.

If Wal Mart sells it, it's not dirty enough for me. I can write my own. haha

I've not read all of it, merely excerpts, but I read them thinking 'when's it going to get proper kinky?'.

I've downloaded better stuff for free from Amazon.

Minus it being repetitive; it is hard to enjoy or get into any book that has as many spelling mistakes as Fifty Shades did (editor and writer fail).

PS. if you didn't notice any spelling mistakes; read through it again it is pretty amusing how many errors there are.

I'm still reading through it and find that I can't get past how poorly written it is to think about anything else. I also just can't read anything without hearing the Cookie Monster's voice now thanks to this. bahahaha No, this book is just awful.

I was slightly intrigued until I watched the video Phoenix posted. Thought it was a joke until I read the reviews on Amazon. No thanks, I'll pass on this one!

Haven't read it, don't want to. Considering I get my porn from Kink, I seriously doubt the sex in this is anywhere near "dirty" enough for me.

I didn't like the books. The sex scenes got boring to me and weren't written well.

not really, I found it rather hard to stay interested. Poorly written. I dont know how they are going to make a movie out of that!

I haven't read it, but I've read quotes, and they were enough to turn me off. The writing seems terrible.

On a lighter note: link

I can only get 1/2 through the first novel.
Too much sappiness for my taste.and the constant "goddess" thing is getting on my nerves.
My sis in law asked my about it last night. Her young adult son looked it up and now they have the attitude it's disgusting.sad.

I'm finding it very difficult to get through as well. All of my friends are gushing over it and I'm just sitting there like, "really?!" lol I can't get past the fact that it's base on Twilight fan fic.

I keep trying to read it but I just can't manage to get through it all. The writing's so bleh, and the whole plot is like "BDSM and kinky sex by people who have absolutely no idea what either are."

I just picked it up and now it sounds like maybe I shouldn't have!!

The writing is objectively awful but I was mostly concerned by how little real knowledge of BDSM the author had.

I have it but haven't read it yet. Since it's so mainstream, I don't expect it to be too much.
