In the middle of the fourth book now & have seen all the episodes. I'm trying to take my time & make the books last, but it's so hard! I just want to sit & read them all day long.

I've watched the first two seasons, and am working my way through the second book. While I thought the first season was pretty accurate to the book, you can definitely see the second season diverge a little.

I love the show, but I have never read the books. One of my best friends (heyyyy) and my SO have both read the books and watched the show and enjoy them both.

I loved the first season and bought the second, but I'm so slow with DVDs. Still waiting for the "right moment" to sit down and watch it. My bf has read the books and says they're even better. One day....

The HBO series "The Game of Thrones" is amazing. It just draws you in. But, I have not read the book. However, I did read years ago, "The Lord of the Rings". It was an excellent read, though I enjoyed the movie even more.

Ever since I started watching the show, I've began reading the books (slowly) but I love comparing books with shows/movies so hopefully nothing strays too far from how it was written :]

I read the first 5 books first, and have watched the first 2 seasons on tv. And while I understand that they can't show everything from the books, I am disappointed in the amount of stuff that they show that wasn't in the book, or how they have changed quite a few things. The basic story is there, but some of the scenes are totally different. Kinda annoying.
