Worst scenes ever?

Contributor: El-Jaro El-Jaro
There are some scenes in movies that completely change your life and what you should watch out for.

Example: In the movie "Very Bad Things", there's a scene where a guy is going to work on a hottie in the bathroom and accidentally kills her via a coat hook to the back of the head. For this reason I'm very nervous about having sex in the bathroom with anything sticking out of the walls.

Example 2: The leech scene from "Stand by Me". I'm afraid of leeches now.

Anyone wanna share theirs?

I watched Hostel about a month before I left for my trip to England a few years ago. I'm terrified of hostels and any form of communal housing for travelers.

The Human Centipede has made me terrified of surgery and going under with any doctor I don't know.

Don't watch it for your sanity. Dear [insert deity of your choice] don't watch it...I made that mistake and I regret it so much.

And I'm so looking forward to seeing this one . But, it won't show in the theaters here, so waiting for DVD.

Right, that scene from 'Very Bad Things' sometimes come up in my head at very random moments and gives me the creeps.

Other than that, there is definitely Arachnophobia. All scenes about spiders where you least expect them...

I carefully avoid horror movies (Jumanji gave me nightmares... I know, I know), but my roommie described a scene from Anatomie de l'enfer (Anatomy of Hell) in detail for me. Apparently there are bloody tampons and lipsticks and menstrual vaginas involved... Yeeeeah no thank you.

When I was pretty young, I saw Phantasm, and there's a scene where the kid has a mirror on the back of his door which the Tall Man jumps out of. I've never put a mirror on the back of a door since. Not like anything could come out of the mirror, but still .

I completely agree about scenes with spiders...

Oooof course it is... awesome, another gross movie at bedtime with my hubs! I just hope it meets the explosions and gunfire quota that our movies in bed seem to require.

I'm a fraidy cat (who still adores horror) and was really disappointed by The Human Centipede. Magazines built it up so much that maybe I was expecting too much. I felt like the big finish was within the first half hour of the movie making it really anti-climactic, as much as the ending was like "oh. that succcccks."

Aside from being terrified of surgery did you enjoy the movie? Had you heard a lot about it beforehand?

If you want legit disturbing but also actually a good movie I recommend Inside to every person...ever. Its so damn good.

As odd as it sounds, the Time Warp scene from Rocky Horror Picture Show. I freaking LOVE doing the Time Warp.

On a more depressing note, there's one scene in Rent (the film) that can't be longer than 2 minutes where it's panning a circle of AIDS victims and one-by-one they fade out. It makes me sob every time.

Inside was a pretty good one - some of the filming was super creepy. There's quite a bit of good French horror out there right now.

Exorcist III - Legion is one of my favorites. It has a few of the creepiest scenes ever in it, and in my opinion is WAY better than all other Exorcist movies. The one scene made me sleep with the lights on... when I was an adult!

I'd heard about it and my friend gave it to me to watch. So, me being trusting because he said it was "awesome" I did. Never...again...ever.

I mean, I'm not a gore kind of person and just the thought of people consuming shit disturbed the hell out of me. Anything to do with poop is a hard hard limit...

I'm terrified of running now and feeling my achilles tendon (or whatever it's called) stretch because of the scene from Hostel where the guy slashed the back of one of the tourist's heels. Ick.

I agree, but since it is not a sexual thing, AND since it is in a movie it is fake... I can probably handle it!

The scene in Seven (the Brad Pitt movie) where they find the guy punished for gluttony. GROSS GROSS GROSS.

With that movie, Sloth or Lust were the two most disturbing to me.

Oh man...yea that shower scene in "Very Bad Things" haunts me..and my husband. He's afraid of the "sex in the shower" toys because he's afraid the suction cup will let loose and we'll go flying and end up like that girl... not that we have big giant coat hooks in our bathroom...
