Hi! My girlfriend was suggesting a penis piercing for me. What is your opinion of that? Reply

I have a friend who has a prince albert piercing. Be advised he couldn't have sex for six months to allow it to heal. Personally, piercing turns me off. I don't find the appeal in genital piercings for either gender. I wouldn't risk those important nerves. Reply

If you decide to get it, make sure you get it because YOU want it. If you do decide to get one, depending on the type (prince albert, jacob's ladder, etc), it can take quite a bit of time because you can become sexually active. Also, depending on where you get it, you many not be able to wear a condom with it, which while that may or may not be a concern now, it certainly could be in the future.

Some people like the look, some don't. It's a personal choice.

I'd check out xxx/jogjojufcpez/dpnlink - they have great info about all types of genital piercing. I had my now defunct hood piercing done there. Reply

I agree with Em, only do it because you want it. Personally, I don't have a preference. I look at them as a novelty but that's not to say I don't love a good sexy body mod. There's a bunch of different piercings you can go with, however be advised that some are difficult in healing and can be incredibly painful during the procedure, as it heals, and even for a while afterwards: Apradravya (through the penis head) Dydoes (piercing around the coronal edge of the penis head) Foreskin Frenum (through the loose web of skin between foreskin and head) Guice (horizontally at the base of the scrotum) Prince Albert (underside of the penis) Scrotum/Hafada (can be very difficult to heal) The estimated healing times for nose, septum and bridge piercing is: * Ampallang: 6 - 10 months; may require a year or more to completely heal * Apradravya: 6 - 10 months; may require a year or more to completely heal * Bridge: 2 - 4 months * Dydoe: 2 - 4 months * Foreskin: 2 - 4 months * Frenum: 2 - 4 months * Guiche: 4 - 6 months * Prince Albert: 2 - 4 months * Scrotum/Hafada: 4 - 6 months iuuq;00xxx/bmufsfecpez/dpn0nbmf`cpez`qjfsdjoh/iunlink Reply

SD, thank you for such a handful information. Do you know if there is any difference in the healing times for the cut and uncut penis? Looks like some of the piercings cannot be even done for the cut penis. Thank you. Reply

There's been some GREAT responses here. Now listen, if you WANT a penis piercing, find a reputable and LICENSED piercer, and do it...only if YOU want to do so! Not cuz SHE wants you to do it. If she wants genital piercings in her life so bad, she can get hers done, or done again. It's briefly painful (my ex had one), and can take 6-8 weeks to heal (usually). And, you have to forgo sex for that time (at least for your Mr. Happy anyway).
With my ex, I could feel it, but it wasn't like mindblowing.
Make this choice FOR YOURSELF. True, you can take it out, but, with the pain and thehealing time, not to mention the cost, this is something you should really think about and WANT to do.

I agree with everyone else so far, get it if YOU want it and make sure the place is reputable! Damaged nerve endings in this particular area would be horrible! Reply
