My husband and I recently visited the Real Dolls website. I can tell you right now that we don't have the $6000 laying around to order one, so it was mostly just out of curiosity and boredom that we were looking. link

Well, I am curious what does everyone else think about these super realistic sex dolls? I think they are very interesting and I can't say that I would hate having one, but I find them really creepy at the same time. I think it would almost be like fucking a corpse. After all it looks like a person, has joints and hyper realistic skin details, but is not alive. How would you feel having sex with one? Are they too realistic? If you could have one for free, would you want one? I must say that being able to pull the guy's dick off and switch it out for a bigger or smaller one depending on my mood would be awesome. If they come out with a model that looked like Johnny Depp I'd start saving up, but until then I think I'll pass...

Creepy. Definitely creepy. But I try not to be judgemental, and they're worlds better than many of the less expensive sex dolls on the market. And keep me posted if they make the Johnny Depp model!

One of my neighbors spends a good deal of time staring at our house if the windows are open. Well, it would be kind of fun to park a couple Real Dolls in front of the window to stare back. There would be some pretty cool possibilities for Halloween too, but not enough fun to spend so much money on.

Off on a tangent, my ex-step-mother-in-law bought me one of those realistic "Kids in the Corner" dolls once (God only knows why!) I stuck it outside in the dumpster with just the feet sticking out to freak people out. Yes, I'm "that weird lady" in our neighborhood.

lol I bet that was great. I never thought of doing that before. We've got a couple neighbors here who apparently don't have their own dumpsters, so they use ours. It would be fine, except for the fact that there is no room for our garbage, and we pay the freakin' bill. We've turned then in who knows how many times. Maybe a semi realistic doll wrapped partially in a blanket in the dumpster would detour them. Might be worth a try, if only those damn dolls weren't so expensive.

I think the brand of dolls, Real Dolls look creepy, but I am not against the idea of dolls. I strongly prefer to look at the dolls called "Candy Girls", which are made in Japan (You can see them at link I don't have a preference for them because of their ethnicity, but for the cuteness. They don't scream "sex doll" to me. If I had the money, I'd buy them just to dress them up. They look like fun! I'd love it if they made a male version.
With the popularity of these sorts of dolls, I wonder if that means that realistic robots will become popular for sexual purposes? I have mixed feelings about that, but I wonder what others think?

I've wondered about the whole robot thing. It kind of reminds me of a stars wars video game where the one woman looses her droid. You go find the droid and discover he ran away because his master was getting "too attached" to him. lol kinda made me think of that. Also they depicted realistic robots for sexual purposes in the movie AI, so there are at least a couple people who have thought about it.

The Candy Girls are more cute, and I agree that they don't scream sex doll as much as the Real Dolls do. Still makes me think of life sized Barbies, only not as kiddie (obviously. lol)

And thanks for the link. I am (very slowly) trying to learn some Japanese in my spare time, but I am no where near being able to actually read it.

I've always been curious about Real Dolls and comparative brands. Various reasons.

Ever seen the documentary "Love Me, Love My Doll"? It's about men who own these Real Dolls (specifically, Real Dolls). It's interesting. There's an actual online community of owners, and most of the men in this documentary were selected from their user base. I had always been struck by how they talk a great deal like ABJD owners, just with a more obvious sexual connection.

I have! I liked it quite a bit. I don't think I laughed hysterically at any point. A lot of the issues he deals with I've been close to at some point, so I really enjoyed seeing it portrayed well.

I laughed the most when they compared the Real Doll to an Xbox 360. A 360 isn't anywhere near the price he paid for that girl. Real Doll was even acknowledged in the credits.

I think they can be creepy. I saw a special where a guy had like hundreds of them in Japan, not just for sex but he prefer them to real women. That's creepy to me.
