I spend a lot on lip products. I'm obsessive about chapstick and sometimes wear 3 different types in a day. I have cheap ones and expensive ones. The most expensive one I own costs about $23. It's so amazing and worth every penny. It's made without all the bad crap, no bad dyes, parabens, phthalates, etc.

Definitely no more than $3. I don't really like chapstick, and therefore think it's a waste of money. I give in and get some if my lips are really chapped, though.

Also, pro tip: If you're starting to get a cold sore don't bother buying that really expensive tiny little thing of cold-sore healer, just put a little neosporin on it. It works like a charm! I was starting to get one so my gf told me to do that, and the next day it was completely fine and I never got a full-blown cold sore.

Do you mean Chapstick the brand or any lip balm? I use Burt's Bee's and it's around $5.50 (at Walmart) for a two-pack, or $2.99 for an individual tube. I wouldn't spend more than that.

FYI, I use it all day every day and one tube will last a full 3 months.

During Thanksgiving, Walgreens had Carmex chapsticks for $1, then you get $1 back toward next purchase. I had a 30 cents off coupon for it as well, so they ended up to be 30 cents money maker.

So I bought bunch of them, pretty much making money on each one...

There's also other brand for free through out the winter. I buy them when they come along. So I rarely pay anything for chapsticks.
