Searching the forum?

Contributor: Peggi Peggi
Couldn't figure out where else to post this question, so here ya go!

I've noticed on a couple of posts on the forum, members mentioning "searching" for posts that answer the question that they are about to ask. For all I know, this question has been answered, although I did try to look through a bit back for the answer...

My question is, is there a way to actually type in what you are looking for and come up with results, or do you just have to go page by page and look for something related? Or, arrange by topic? To me, that seems time consuming, which I don't really mind if that is the only way to do it, but there are an awful lot of pages to go through! Especially since not everyone phrases the question the same way in the topic, so arranging BY topic may not always be easy.

Just thought I would ask, so that I won't have to post questions that have answers already

In the search box, type in what you are looking for, then look for the series of tabs across the page below the search box. Click on "discussions". It should pull up forum discussions about the thing you are searching for. It took me forever to figure out that you could click on those tabs to search in specific areas. I wish they would change it to a drop down menu right next to the search box.

Use the search bar just like you would for product, except instead of "dildo" you would put in "pregnancy" or "birth control" or "mentor program" and it'll bring up all of the posts on that topic, just click on the discussions tab to open that portion. The most relevant will be in the first page or two. Just like with anything, sometimes you have to dig to find what you want.

A drop menu would be more convenient!

Thanks, I didn't realize that could be used for forums I thought it was only for searching for products! Glad to know that there is a much easier way to search...as I've been going page by page!

Sometimes, I find it more effective to use Google and limit my search to site:edenfantasys.com
