Do you have a hard time throwing away your nice toy packaging?

Contributor: Trysexual Trysexual
If you have just a few toys, these boxes that come with toys can be really handy, unique and nice, but as your collection grows, it's almost silly to keep them around if you use a pouch, bedside drawer or toy box.

I've always had a thing for keeping the original boxes to things (video games, toys, cameras etc) in case I ever need to sell anything, but also nice to have.

I know I'll never use most of them ever again, but I have a hard time throwing them away. I'm to the point where I have to store them in paper ream boxes. I know my GF will eventually want them out.

Do you do this too?

I can throw away the cheap packaging, but I'm talking about the nice hard case boxes like you get with Lelo, Njoy, Metalworx, Ego, Lux, Aneros and some others I'm sure that have the cutouts inside. Now a few I'll always cherish and keep (Lelo Earl, Pure Wand/pure plug). But I should probably toss some of the others.

The cheap packaging I'll get rid of unless I think I might sell the item, but I usually keep the luxury packaging. I have other items as well that I have kept the boxes for though I store it in a pouch. I'm like you, I do that with a lot of things.

I am the same exact way. I still have all the nice boxes that I've gotten with my Lelo toys. I also keep the boxes to my cameras and cell phones. I have this feeling that if I throw it away then I'm going to need it for some reason. I really need to learn to part ways with that stuff. Now the stuff that comes in cheap packaging, I throw that out as soon as I have written my review

It the product comes in a nice box, I have a hard time throwing it out as well. I still have room to store the toys in the original packaging. As time goes on, I may not have this option any longer. If I run out of space, I will definitely have a hard time parting with the packaging.

Since I store the items in the original boxes between my rotations--no, I do not throw them away. Once the cheap packaging is ruined, though out it goes!! My luxury boxes are on my dresser to stay, though--they look nice and keep the toys in excellent shape, especially those with chargers.

I tend to hold on to the packaging for about a month if I think I might return the product. I find it pretty easy to recycle the packaging because I do not use it for storage.

Even if i dont use them for storage, i seem to never throw out my toy packaging. While i cant see myself really ever getting rid of luxurious packaging or anything sturdy and good for storage, i plan on eventually getting rid of easy to recycle packaging, like simple plastic boxes or clamshell packaging.

Nope, I just toss it. The only packaging I kept is for my Vixskin to prevent it getting dents.

Yes! I feel badly for tossing them little boxes, but they quickly start coming apart anyways, so I've finally learned to give them away. There are a lot of people who like the little ones like the one Zini Deux (pretty neat box by the way!) comes in to be an awesome jewelery box or used for other little items. I've given away my box for most of the luxury toys I've bought. Vitality, Matryoshka, etc. The only one I've ever really held onto is the one that comes with the Pure Wand. It's so far been the sturdiest one and even it is coming apart just a little. I store the wand in it, but the rest get given away.

If I don't want people seeing the manufacturer's name on the outside, I'll do a nice little decoupage on it and use it as a gift box. It's a fun way to upcycle too. I also do this with shipping boxes.

I feel bad, but no. I don't have the room for all of the boxes that I would have if I kept the nice ones.

I keep all my boxes for my toys, cameras and lenses. I can't shake the "I'm gonna need 'em some day' feeling! The whole underneath of my bed is boxes of boxes.

I would throw away the cheap packages. But the more expensive packages I would keep.

Nope, I've got them all, even the plastic the lingerie and freebies come in, I hate to throw anything out. I have thrown out things in the past and regretted it. I know the time will come and I will have to but some of those boxes I'm sure I'll be able to use for other things, like the leaf box that just arrived today... that one I'll find a use for some special treasure!

I don't decoupage anything, but I have been known to "gift" items in some of the nice boxes since I'm an environmentalist. I only give to friends who I know are also into using toys and I tell them why I chose that particular box (colors, satin lining, etc.) I think most of our toys should come in nice boxes. I can't stand the cheap packaging that comes with some of them.

Yes, I do have a hard time throwing away my toy packagings -- so I keep them all in my laundry room cabinets -- good thing no one ever bothers to look inside!

I used to have that problem, but I decided that I would rather have the space for toys.

I throw away cheap packaging immediately. The nicer boxes like Lelo and Njoy I use for storage. It's bulkier doing it that way, but I like that my luxury vibes are protected.

I only keep the very nice boxes, ie fabric lined ones. Everything else goes in the trash and I do not have a hard time doing it. It is far easier for me to store my toys in satin bags in a drawer.

I guess you can say I have an issue with throwing it all out but I prefer all my toys to be stored in original packaging. If I had pouches for everything then I may toss out the boxes. Even the flimsy plastic boxes I keep.

Yes! I've got a big pile of it under my bed! Some of it just gets tossed, but my LEiLO boxes and my Vixen tubes... I can't seem to get rid of them!

No way, I can't stand "useless" clutter. I understand it may not be useless to you, and in no means am I saying you live in clutter. That's just what it feel like to me when I keep things like boxes, containers, etc.
