I know it's not the typical EF question, but my self propelled Craftsman just gave up the ghost and they want more then the price of a new mower to fix it...so out it goes. Meanwhile, all these different brands have incredibly mixed reviews. Folks either love them or hate them, so I am turning to you, the EF family to see if anyone has any suggestions and a great, reliable self propelled, mower to buy?
Any suggestions. What brand of lawn mower do you love, and which would you stay away from?

Honda. weve had ours for 7 years, do the regular maintenance on it and it still starts with one pull.

We only buy craftsman, the one we have now is over 5 years old and runs great.

I've gone away from gas. Don't like storing gas, oil, smell of it and the exhaust. Currently have cordless electric for last 4-5 years. It is great ! No problems so far with battery and works really well. I got a model with mulch and bag. If you don't have alot of lawn, you can even get electric with cord. Cost less and works well also. I had that before the cordless.
I recommend cordless. No gas can or oil or smells.
