I'm A-. I never donate blood, though. I can't anyway, since I keep getting tattoos.

Read the redcross webiste:

link

"Wait 12 months after a tattoo if the tattoo was applied in a state that does not regulate tattoo facilities. This requirement is related to concerns about hepatitis. Learn more about hepatitis and blood donation.

Acceptable if the tattoo was applied by a state-regulated entity using sterile needles and ink that is not reused. There are 32 states that currently regulate tattoo facilities. You should discuss your particular situation with the health historian at the time of donation."

As long as you state regulates tattoo shops, it's all cool.

A-, I found out in college one time I gave blood. Though I tend not to donate too often but that is because they keep asking. I don't feel like I should be hounded to donate my blood.

I'm pretty sure it's A, but I can't remember whether it's positive or negative. I asked a few years ago when I was in the hospital anyway, but I've forgotten

That means both of you have an O blood type parent. Which makes your blood type AO and your hubbies too. In order for your child to be O, it has to come from both sides or have an O parent.
