I love the food at Applebees, but the service is pretty hit-or-miss. I actually prefer Carrabba's, though they're expensive.

I do not like Applebees. I've given them way too many chances. Their food is overpriced and not that great. I went to chili's the other day for the first time and I was pretty impressed. The waitress was great. We had a coupon for free chips and queso and let me tell you it was delicious!

I haven't been to either in several years, but from what I can remember of my childhood my (probably heavily biased by mini-corndogs) opinion is that chilli's is a bit better.

We do the 2 for $20 at Chili's at least once, sometimes twice a week. Fajitas are great and now they have steaks on that deal too....VERY filling, fresh and good. We LOVE Chili's. They have a great molten cake too, but we are always too full to have desert.

I've gotta go with Applebee's, even if it's just a "tradition" for me. Back in high school pretty much the entire band (all ~150 of us) would head over there after every football game, and nowadays a good number of people from work meet there after closing to relax and laugh at the drunk kids singing karaoke.

We usually go to Chili's. I can't remember the last time we went to Applebee's. Really, we don't go out to either restaurant much. There's a mom-and-pop Thai restaurant here that we frequent much more often.

I have never had a bad meal at Chillies. I especially love their Caesar salad. Applebees is ok, but I haven't always been impressed with their food.
