Are gift cards a good gift?

I have given gift cards and the recipients have always liked them. Never had a problem with them either.

I think gift cards are a great gift! Allows the recipient to get whatever they want.

I choose not to give gift cards and shop sales instead. That way I can be cheap without showing it But I do like receiving gift cards.

I feel like if someone gets me a Walmart gift card, they don't really know me at all. But if it's for etsy or amazon or here or Frederick's of Hollywood. . . then I guess they do know me. Anyway, it has to be the right gift card that shows you are at least a little bit observant.

As long as it is a store you know they frequent, or a coffee card at a shop they make great gifts. I always add a few chocolate samplers and other small items to compliment the card.
