We used to camp, I have outgrown it. Fibromyalgia and sleeping on the ground, even on an air mattress do not mix well.

I grew up every summer at my grandma's cottage near Lake Geneva. We spent every day or nearly part of every day at the beach. I really have no desire to spend a lot of time in the sun at this point.

I'd rather SEE something cool. I like tours of historic houses or architecture or museums etc. Even visiting old graveyards (like in Boston, they are amazing how many cool gravestones you can see) or old buildings, like Alcatraz. We spent a day at Alcatraz when we were in SF once, it was a blast!

Beach, it's too much work to go camping! Plus I live 3 blocks fromt the beach, and I can come home and shower after a day in the sand & sun!!

I grew up in Miami and hated the beaches while I was there, but definitely missed them once I left. I realize now that I'm most definitely a beach girl. I absolutely hate the very idea of camping. Sorry not sorry.
