Best Thing You've Eaten? What should we try??

Contributor: Cherrylane Cherrylane
My mother and I made a negotiation this year that instead of putting up holiday decorations for hours and spending a month avoiding putting them away, we are going to spend all of our holiday family time in the kitchen cooking new recipes we've never tried. Not talking casual cooking, here. I'm imagining Julie and Julia intensity lol.

I know I definitely would love to try some pies, maybe pick a new ravioli to make from scratch out of this wonderful italian cookbook I have... but alas, that's not nearly enough food! What do you think we should add to our "to cook" list?

I make these bacon wrapped green beans that are amazing, if you're not a health nut! It's not exactly "intense", it's pretty easy. But if you've never made them before, it's still a new experience. And I find that this is one of those recipes that's fun for two people to make together. I posted the recipe on my blog today link

Also, I find anything made in a slow cooker is usually a big hit. Broccoli Cheese Soup, Chili, Coca-Cola ham are my three favorites
