We just finished hanging out with some good friends; one of our conversations this evening revolved around the best years of our lives. I didn't actually share all of mine with my friends! Here are my best years (so far):

1983, the year I had sex for the first time (with my best friend).
1984, the year I first had sex with a woman.
1987, my wildest and most promiscuous year.
1992, when I started the most exciting relationship of my life.
1996, when I had anal sex for the fist time (again, with my best friend).
2000, when I met, and fell in love with, my wife.

The best years of my life...in hindsight, most of them are past the age of 15. Hopefully, they have not all happened yet!!

1985-The year I was born.
2003-The year that I lost my virginity, graduated from high school and met a man I fell crazy in love with.
2005-The year I wised up about being settled down so young and started having a blast.
2009-The year I got married.
2010-The year my son was born.
2013-The beginning of the rest of my life.

Honestly, I've experienced it just this past year at the age of 35 (right now, 2012-13) - graduated college, getting on with my life, met the man I want to marry but might lose, and I'm actually becoming an adult (instead of feeling like a 17-year-old pretending to be one and failing at it).

Everything else before that simply doesn't measure up to what I've done this past year.

2010 - The year I got out of a long-term relationship that wasn't right for me. I had an amazing time being single and free. Then I started dating and fell madly in love with my husband. It was the happiest and most exciting time in my life. I have a lot of amazing memories

2012 was also good. Took some trips, had a lot of good times with friends, got fit again and got married.
