I don't have a smartphone and am not planning to get one for awhile, but when I do, I want an iPhone! Where do y'all stand on this?

I'm in the same boat. Would love to have a smartphone, but can't justify spending the extra 40 or so bucks a month for a data plan.

I would buy a smartphone to replace my damaged ipod if I could get it without the data plan, since 99% of the time I'm around wifi. Unfortunately most of them seem to be tied to the data plans, and I just can't afford it.

I have an iphone 4. It's okay, but the Droid X I had prior was a lot nicer.

I have a Blackberry. It's not got the same kind of exciting apps and I have had some minor glitchy problems (at least with my particular phone, I have the Torch), but I just hate having to use a touch screen for typing. I much prefer the little keyboard. Plus, I'm happy without iPhone's ever so helpful autocorrect.
